A sultry French boarding school for girls, in the early twenties. The young pupil Lucienne evades but returns with a weird police inspector who should protect her. Against what or whom? Solange, the psychic unstable gym teacher? Or the voyeuristic principal Madame de Challens? Or other girls?

Half Spirit, a young woman who's spent the past year handcuffed to a radiator by her husband, begins to hear the voice of a spider named Jimminy. She escapes from captivity and falls in love with Gil, a drug dealer traveling to swap drugs for plutonium. She follows him, afraid to approach. She is followed by Badfly, who pushes women off of ledges, convinced that they can fly; he unsuccessfully tries to kill her, then falls for her. Gil is also followed by Priest, a demonic Catholic father with a penchant for pain. The whole sordid tale is narrated by Half Spirit as she writes the tale on her naked body as she lies dying in a hospital.

In this film, following in the footsteps of Patrick Edlinger, Christian and Olivier build the legendary roof of La Piade (Toulon, France) solo in deep water. Up to 18 m high, the two climbers are keen to work the route without a rope. The Piade site appears in the first minutes of the film “La Vie Au Bout Des Doigts” by Jean-Paul Janssen. At a height of 15m, after several summers of work, Olivier is one of the rare local climbers to have completed this route. Today, it is Christian who is taking on this same challenge. The two climbers are keen to work it without the help of a rope. After each fall, they must start the route from the beginning. Guided by his elder, the film recounts Christian's progression and success on the path. It is also the story of their friendship and the joy they share together, suspended, “at their fingertips”. Determined, Christian works the route in summer, as in winter, despite the sometimes unpredictable conditions.

Based on the eponymous novel by Boris Vian. With the help of a time machine, a man explores his past, apparently with the aim of curing his present misfortune...
